Is this really Umbro’s new red England away kit for the 2010 World Cup?

Fake or real, what do you think of this ‘new’ away kit – unimaginative or a retro classic?
As I’ve said before, I think retro kits are all very well, but it’s much more interesting when designers come up with something new and different. So whilst the red away shirt with simple crew-neck is a respectful nod to 1966, I’d rather not hear any more about 1966 until the 2010 World Cup is over.

A bit dull…does look like it’s been knocked up in someone’s garage to me!
I think it looks great. Nice and simple, but I would prefer it to be all red (no white on the sleeves). If they’re going to have the accent on the sleeves, then I would rather it be on the collar, too.
The tag on the inside has a bit of Southeast Asian sweatshop flair to it. I bet you can find this one for a fiver on ebay!
This disappoints on so many levels. I reckon its where umbro were going with the away strip especially after the retro white one and I was a bit excited about it. But this has nothing on the ’66 strip. Its just bland.

btw, who gets hold of these “real” shirts before everyone else? and if its fake, some people have wayyyyyy too much time on there hands!
Doesn’t look good enough quality to be real for me. The amount of hooplah Umbro has put in to the new England kit makes me think they would put a bit more effort in than this. That being said, though, I think the real one will look very similar. In fact I think they should just do exactly the same as the white one and just inverse the colours.
Did someone actually get paid to design that?
