AC Milan have completed the signing of Ronaldo from Real Madrid for a fee believed to be in the region of £5 million. The Italian club has taken a gamble on the 30-year-old who was criticised for his World Cup performances, which could be described at best as lethargic, and has been out of the Real side.

He’s a proven goal scorer. This season at Madrid he hasn’t played due to knee surgery and Capello’s team selection. If he can get fit, he will do fine.

In today’s market 5 mil isnt that big a gamble on Ronaldo. I think its a dangerous trend of Milan’s though, buying 30 year olds who are a bit past it.
