Definition of irony, no.98648: David Beckham injures his right knee after colliding with advertising hoardings.

The incident happened during Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw with Getafe at the weekend. Becks miscued a cross near the goal line and ran into hoardings behind the goal. Doh. He will undergo a knee scan today, but looks 99% certain to miss Real’s vital Champions League return leg against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
