Referee Mark Halsey Set To Return After Illness
By Chris Wright

Here’s a little bit of good news. Referee Mark Halsey will return to action tonight after a six month battle with throat cancer. The 48 year old is set to take charge during Leicester’s reserve team clash with Scunthorpe in Hinckley this evening.
Halsey, who is in remission after undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy since being diagnosed with cancer last August, was given the all-clear to begin officiating again after passing a rigorous fitness test last week and is now hopefully on his way to a Premier League return.
