Betting on meaningless friendlies is not something I’d usually recommend but then tonight’s England v Greece international isn’t meaningless: every single English player will be trying his hardest to impress new manager Steve McClaren. This is a clean slate for our national team, so I’ve a feeling that there will be more edge to the match than with your usual friendly. With that in mind, I predict an England win, and a comfortable one at that. My recommendations (all odds Paddy Power):

England to win 3-1 (12-1)
England to score three goals (4-1) *The past three England managers – Sven-Goran Eriksson, Glenn Hoddle and Kevin Keegan – all started with three goals
John Terry to be 1st goalscorer (20-1) *Just got a feeling that JT will thunder home a header from a corner
England to win 3-1 with John Terry to be first goalscorer (150-1)
