Iain Dowie Confirmed As The Man Who Will Lead Hull City Back To The Championship
By Ollie Irish
Iain Dowie’s default look: a thousand-yard stare in the face of plucky defeat
There will be no Mark Hughes, Terry Vanables or Alan Curbishley for Hull City. They have had to set their sights a bit lower. The man to replace Phil Brown will be Iain Dowie.
Just as when Brian Laws took over at Burnley and everyone said “Yep, he’ll take them down”, so Dowie will surely do the same for the Tigers. Iain is a Championship-standard manager, and a decent one too, but his appointment smacks of a club that is prepared for relegation and doesn’t want to break the bank on a first-class manager.
Hindsight will show that Phil Brown did a very good job at Hull, and although he might well have taken them down this season, I don’t see how Iain Dowie will do a better job than the permatanned one.
What do you make of Dowie’s imminent appointment?

they stand a slightly better chance with dowie in charge than the permatanned knobhead. they’re squad is utter crap though. they’ll go down whoever’s in charge
They’ve just gone for a pretty-boy.
