JohnTerry_203132.jpgWell Pies readers, you’re slowly building an invincible Premership team of the season. So far you’ve chosen Petr Cech in goal, Steve Finnan at right-back and yesterday you selected crazy Frenchman Patrice Evra at left-back, with 36% of the vote (at time of posting). Three solid choices. So now we move on to the heart of any team’s defence…
To vote for your top two central defenders, click the link below…

Choose the two central defenders you’ve been most impressed with (you can choose two options in this poll) and register your vote (just one vote per person, so choose wisely!). By this time on Monday the two players with the most votes will make the team.
If you really feel I’ve missed someone off the list, let me know by adding a comment. Happy voting…

Vidic and Carra going at it! Tremendous scrap

  2. Tommy says:

oo, very nice battle going on. i like vidic better probably but carra has held it down for me on my fantasy team so i have to go with him. thats a tough one for sure. see fantasy football can make a differene!

  3. OmegaSupremeho says:

Carvalho is class, in fact I’m suprised Jose hasn’t dubbed him a £50 man.

  4. Ashley says:

Admittedly we’ve conceded a lot of goals this season, but I still feel Michael Dawson deserves at least a place on the list.

  5. Ollie, Pies Ed. says:

Fair point Ashley. Dawson has had a solid season, but I just felt Spurs had been too leaky at the back overall to add him to the list.

Hmm, seems like an Everton forum/blog might have been pumping up Joleon’s vote methinks!?

  7. Brian says:

Not even a contest. Carra hand’s down.

  8. joe says:

I’m not a huge fan of him but Ricardo Carvalho has done an immense job for Chelsea this year he is the reason they are still in it. While Terry and Cech were out he held down the back, sometimes alongside Paulo Ferreira (which should get him player of the year right there) He’s also scored that cracker against Spurs AND their equalizer against Man United. Take away either of those goals and the title race is done. I’d vote for him twice if you’d let me.

as i bolton fan i realise we aint gonna win, but why isnt tal ben haim on but faye is, dont get me wrong fayes been good but tal is the man, getting seriously linked with chelsea, as opposed to the normal every man and his dog linked

  10. Ollie, Pies Ed. says:

Agree Joe – RC has had a great season, very underrated by most fans.

I think that the best back is either Rio Ferdinand or Kolo Toure but by the player of the year has to be Cesc Fabregas becasue he has do an outstanding job by taking control of the midfield and he is going to be the next best in thing the game of football
