Khano Smith’s horrible free kick, New England Revolution vs Kansas City Wizards

This is arguably the worst free kick I’ve ever seen taken by a footballer who is paid real money to play the game – Revs coach Steve Nicol is clearly not impressed either. If this is the standard of set pieces in the MLS, then David Beckham is going to come over like a cross between Pele, Superman and God.
Oh, and on the subject of MLS, click below to see all the goals from week eight…

Khano Smith is Bermudan. We Americans can’t take “credit” for him and his slick free kicks. Maybe Shaun Goater taught him.

Don’t be so sure about Beckham’s ability to impress- that looked like one of Beck’s penalty shots!

  3. JFP says:

Yes, it’s a terrible free kick. But I’ve seen many terrible penalties taken by many professionals. Why is taking a penalty such a problem? This should be the easiest thing in the game. Hit it low, hard, and within six inches of a post. Surely paid players should be able to manage that, yet they can’t seem to do it.

commenting on the weeks goals; a bunch of wonder goals equal championship (or lower) football
