73547399.jpgYou can’t keep a good man down. Plymouth boss/Pies legend Ian Holloway has hit out at Argyle’s fixture list for next season:
The Pilgrims face midweek trips to Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester and Championship new boys Scunthorpe, and Hollers is not impressed.
‘I’m looking forward to next season and to seeing the wonderful Greem Army out in force whenever it’s possible… But some games on Tuesday nights are so far away it’s going to be impossible for them. It’s not right,’ he said.
Can’t see his point really – not much anyone can do about Plymouth being so far away from most other English clubs.

Also I don’t remember him being very sympathetic when the Beeb moved Watford’s QF with the pilgrims to Sunday 6pm kick off, stopping lots of Watford fans from getting to the game.

Whiny git. Plymouth to Norwich (On the ball, City!) is, according to Google Maps, 358 miles.
In comparison, my local team (Minnesota Thunder, USL First Division) has to travel a minimum of 1,000 miles to get to any opponent. I’m taking a 1,395 one-way trip to Seattle in August to follow the Thunder as they play three games in four nights in Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver.
Shut your pie hole, Hollers. I can’t have much sympathy.
