another american here. and yes, most of us over here with half a brain knows that Jim Rose is the gnarliest sweaty old moose-knuckle about and ignore him. Rose looks to put down futbol whenever he possibly can.
even Eric Wynalda (whom I think is an egotistical pratt, but gained a little respect in my book because of this) has sounded off on Rose.
In 2007, ESPN commentator and former soccer star Eric Wynalda lashed out at Rome’s distaste for soccer during an interview with a soccer fan website. Wynalda stated: “Jim Rome can suck my dick! And he should be very afraid, because Iâ€™m the kind of guy, if I get too many drinks in me, I will club his ass.”

Jim Rome has a cult following in America because we have alot of hillbillies (low class, culture-less, Bible-beltin’ retards)in America. All of these hillbillies love hating soccer because they do not understand it. They cannot understand true rivalries (flare-throwing, crazy fans are used as the nasty stereotype) because we have about two in American pro sports. My brother is one of these hillbillies. He’d rather watch women’s softball to football and listens to Jim Rome. There is not enough points to maintain his interest level (he has a really fast car though!!) America is at least 1/4 retatrded and probably about 3/4 retarded in the South. God I hate us too. No wonder Muslims want to kill us…Jim fucking Rome.

Please please please don’t lump Rome in with the rest of us. He’s made a fat, fat paycheck for 15 years by essentially being an ignorant jackass who makes seemingly incisive, cutting comments that are actually lame jokes and either a)totally obvious answers on a quiz a monkey with a pencil taped to his hand could fill in correctly or b)completely wrong prognostications that he makes from the seat of his pants. Unfortunately, there’s a market for guys just like him, consisting of 18-65 year old men with IQ’s of 90 and below, and sadly when your nation has 300 million people there’s just millions of idiots waiting to scarf down wet buckets of shit like this. I just wish Chringle and others like him would think before they say anything, as comments like that make guys like Rome look a bit less like kids who have to wear helmets all the time.

Sadly, there are lots of americans who think soccer/football is ridiculous, but even amongst them, there are lots who think this guy is even more ridiculous. He’s just there to “entertain” by annoyment; kinda like Bill O’Reilly. I have no idea why these guys haven’t been banned from the planet let alone american tv.
