Dean Ashton’s latest injury setback means England could once again be lacking in bulky link-up/target-men. One man who fits into this category who has never been given his chance at international level is Bolton’s Kevin Davies. Thierry Henry’s hero is a consistent performer week-in, week-out in the Premier League. He scores goals, creates chances, is comfortable on the ball, gets in the face of oppostion players and has an excellent work-rate. Match of the Day were singing his praises last night too. So does he deserve an international call-up? Click below to vote.

    In a word Rob, I’d say… no.
He’s a superior journeyman, no doubt, but a journeyman nonetheless.

  2. Rob P says:

I’m not saying he should go on to become an England regular, but with Heskey and Ashton out and Peter Crouch hardly kicking a ball options are limited if McClaren wants options up front.

  3. Rusty says:

    Please be kidding, Rob.
