Yes indeed. Daily Mirror columnist Stanley Victor Collymore gives us the run down on England’s possible line-up against Estonia. Does he say John Terry will get arrested?! Oi fur wun think whoever wrote Stan’s autocue used the phrase ‘I for one’ too often. Pies cannot accept responsibility for any damage caused when you put your fist through your computer screen while watching this video.

I think Stan has got it spot on with who England should play as opposed to who will play.Hear him a lot on 5 live and his column in the Mirror and he talks a lot of sense, and knows his stuff.
The only reason i’d want to put my fist through the screen is some clever muppet on here making sarcastic comments on a daily basis. If youre going to attempt humour,at least make an effort chaps.

Calm down, Ulrika. Think that’s the first time the word ‘sense’ has been applied to Stan Collymore.
A bit of light-hearted banter is what Pies is all about

Yeah,i suppose youre right, appologies. After all a football site that heralds “zoe the hot spur” on its site is a real fountain of football knowledge and sense….lol

  5. Ollie, Pies Ed. says:

Oh my god, the backlash has begun!

  6. Rob P says:

But of all the things we’ve ever written about in a tongue-in-cheek tone, Ollie, I never expected a Pies backlash would be started in defence of Stan Collymore! You couldn’t make this stuff up…

To be honest, that video was alright, but has anyone actually read his column? It’s terrible. Poorly written, over enthused garbage. The other week he thought the Portsmouth Reading goal fest was bad for English football as it would produce poor defending from young children who would copy what they see on the TV. Utter rubbish.

His column is rubish? Compared to who’s! I’ve read it since the start of the season, and its by far the best column in ANY of the papers. He talked about the folly of Rafa Benitez’s rotation policy from day one,as well as Moan United’s lack of a goalscorer before the season began. As for the Portsmouth v Reading game i think your comment is way to oversimplistic. If you think that was a great game, and it should be held up as an advert for the prem then you havent got a clue! Its actually nice to oread a column where there is some insightful comment rather than the same old blokes getting it wrong every week,or even worse, sites like this that have nothing to say except slag people off.I came on here to look at the liverpool pies section, but its a real loads of cods.Sorry but it is.
