I’d stick with Robinson, who has performed perfectly well in an England shirt – Carson is just as likely to make a crucial mistake as Robbo, imo.

    Rob Green
if Robinson makes a mistake, his international career could well be over, if Green mucks it up, it’ll be business as usual :)
and it’s not like it’s a big tournament or anything, right? :)

Stop thinking defensively. It’s more important that the team in front of the goalie do their job right, so that all the keeper might have to contend with is some long distance shots. Moreover, if England score more goals then it doesn’t matter! Durrrr….

seems like too much of a risk playing Carson in the most important game in a while, after 1 game against a side whos own countrymen have been organising a petition to say they don’t want to host the european championships because they are too rubbish. Robinson has to be given the chance to prove he’s not a total knob or lose it for us. Its a no win situation, if Robbo messes up everyone will say Carson should have played as Robbo had proven he was sh*te, if Carson plays and messes up everyone will say he should have played as he has no experience. If either of them play and do ok, then we’ll qualify and no one will give a toss.
