When football club lottery competitions get smelly

Rubia%20cow.jpgWe know life can be tough at grassroots level, but one Spanish club has come up with a crazy scheme to make some cash and probably improve its grass at the same time! Amateur outfit Amoeiro have launched a new club lottery which presents fans with a unique way to help their club and win prizes.
The club has called its new lottery Caca de la Vaca, which roughly translates as Crap of the Cow. For €10 a fan is given a one-metre square plot on the pitch. Once a month – starting February 24 – the club cow Rubia (stick with me on this one) will be paraded round the pitch at the Penafita stadium. If the cow craps on your piece of land then you win one of the six prizes on offer, including a widescreen TV, a trip for two to the Canary islands or a Seat Leon Sportline car. It is so simple I can’t believe nobody thought of it before… Click here to buy your land and join Caca De La Vaca.
