It is as you were at the top of Bundesliga with the top three teams all recording victories. Miroslav Klose gave table-topping Bayern Munich a 0-1 win at Schalke. Werder Bremen remain four points behind courtesy of Markus Rosenberg’s brace against Borussia Dortmund. Third-placed Hamburg signalled their intent with a 4-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.
At the foot of the table, the bottom three of Nuremburg, Cottbus and MSV Duisburg are all level on 17 points. Arminia Bielefeld are two points ahead of the pack in what looks set to be a tense relegation battle.

Hamburg’s Rafael Van der Vaart scored this peach against Wolfsburg in the German Cup, although it wasn’t enough to take his side through.

Bayern’s Martin Demichelis and referee Herbert Fandel enjoy a tender moment.
