Hmm, Wigan or Stoke? Wigan…or Stoke?

The craziest little ball of crazy Diego Maradona has admitted that he would like to try his hand at managing a Premier League side.

Maradona told Sky Sports News this morning:

“Yes, I would like to manage in the Premier League. It has very good teams, an exceptional level and great players.

The only problem is all the teams I like in England already have good coaches. If any important job comes along I will accept it.”

‘El Diego’ was rumoured to be in the running for the Aston Villa job after Martin O’Neill suddenly resigned from his post earlier in the summer, but the Argentinian legend insisted that he was never seriously being considered:

“I want to make it clear that I didn’t offer myself for any job, nor did anyone offer me anything. I know I will go back with the national team some day, that is my fate. I’m waiting.

“They took away the national team from me unfairly. I don’t want to talk about it, it doesn’t deserve any words. I am in too good a mood to talk about people who don’t deserve my words – but I do miss the national team.”

    Yes Yes!
Give him Aston Villa and make him national team manager again!
Even if it’s only so we can laugh at his choice of wardrobe, tireless screaming and harrasment of the players! XD

does he even speak english? that would be a bit of a problem if he can’t.

I can just picture him on the sidelines having a go at Wenger!

As I mentioned on another forum. He’d be PERFECTO for Manchester City. A team of overpriced, over-hyped underachievers would be a match made in a heaven of sorts for Diego. It would be like the New York Yankees managed by Billy Martin. ALWAYS ENTERTAINING!! And I like Diego’s lid FAR better than Mancini’s lid.

Whatever possessed Mancini to get that dopey wanker haircut he sports now is probably the same demon that possesses City and it’s prima donnas
