Maradona_6With Sven Goran Eriksson now playing down reports that he is about to take charge of West Ham, bizarre possible managerial appointment numero dos is Diego Maradona as national coach of Honduras.

The new slimline Maradona had been touted for the Argentina job [before as well as] after Jose Pekerman‘s departure. Having been overlooked for the job, Maradona is now in talks with the Honduras soccer federation. He said: ""I’m sure we could form a good team. I have spoken with many people who say this football team is good." I’ll give him three months! [Via BBC Sport]
