A goal of the quality scored by Hatem Ben Arfa on Monday night deserved to be a match winner but unfortunately for the French winger, his magnificent strike was in vain as the Magpies went down 2-1 against Fulham.

It looked like it was deflected off a Fulham player (might be Riise, can’t really tell) and that looped the ball over the keeper.
Deflected. Not a wonder goal.
It was indeed deflected. That’s why Schwarzer was bamboozled. But still a nice goal all the same.
