Newcastle United 0-3 Everton – Premier League – 25th March 2014
With Arsenal stumbling above them in the table, Everton are still in with a chance of bagging a fourth Champions League spot and after their superb win at St. James’ Park on Tuesday night, the Toffees will looking forward to their upcoming clash with the Gunners at Goodison Park.
Against a rather blunt Newcastle side, Everton were clinical, with Ross Barkley netting a superb solo goal in the first-half before Romelu Lukaku and Leon Osman made it 3-0 before the end. The Toffees were equally impressive in defence, standing strong against the home sides efforts to get on the scoresheet and ultimately, Roberto Martinez’s would come away with three very valuable points.
