Proving once again that non-league football is where the real heroes reside, a travelling contingent of just two – count ’em, two – North Ferriby supporters braved the sub-zero temperatures to watch their side on Tuesday night.

The stout and hearty duo embarked on a 260-mile round trip from the east coast of Northern England to the west to watch the National League’s bottom club take on Chester in a near-deserted stadium…

Unfortunately, it didn’t prove to be a good night for North Ferriby, who eventually went on to lose 3-0 as Chester extended their unbeaten run to five games…

You’ve just got to admire the hardcore loyalty on display, even if it is utterly mind-boggling.
