Photos: Southampton 2-1 Charlton Athletic, Johnstone’s Paint Trophy
You want glamour? Pies gives you glamour…
Of all the paint-based cups in the world, the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy is definitely in my top three. Last night in the JPT, Southampton overcame Charlton (who were knocked out of the FA Cup at the weekend, by ickle Northwich) at St Mary’s.
Goals from Wayne Thomas and Rickie Lambert saw Southampton make it through to the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Southern Area semi-finals. Get in! Leon McKenzie’s late strike from close range was a mere consolation for Charlton.
