After the horror! the horror! of Angola’s first ever ACN match as hosts, in which they let a 4-0 lead over Mali slip with barely more than ten minutes to go (photos of that incredible match here), this win over a toothless Malawi is just the result the team – and the tournament as a whole – needed.

Both goals were scored at the start of the second half, the first by Flavio and the game-breaker by Manucho (yes, the former Man Utd striker who never really got a look-in at Old Trafford and who now plays in Spain for Real Valladolid).
