Sunderland is in trouble. Not to get all science-y here, but, building a stadium next to a meandering river is pure idiocy. Those things migrate laterally, i.e. the stadium will eventually be in the river.

Makes it all the more clear how little character modern stadia have as compared to older parks. A reminder how it’s all about money now.

Not quite sure why the picture of Carlisle Ground was included – all that was really visible was a pair of nice trees.
