So – Tony Mowbray, rubbish or what? (That’s the sort of incisive football analysis you get at Pies.) And the answer is… half-hearted drum roll… yes, he is a bit rubbish, and obviously out of his depth at a big club like Celtic. Were he not already in a job, I think he would have made a fine replacement for Owen Coyle at Burnley, but as it is he’ll be out of a job slightly too late for that gig. Unless Brian Laws is sacked even faster than anyone predicted.

This defeat puts a big, ugly dent in Celtic’s title challenge. It also increases the possibility that Hibs could finish second, behind champions elect Rangers.

So what happened? Well, you can read full accounts on much-better resourced sites than Pies – the Beeb, for example – but the short of it is that Celtic blew a 1-0 lead, Anthony Stokes and then Danny Galbraith (in the second minute of added time) canceling out Marc-Antoine Fortune’s fifth-minute header.

Celtic are now ten points behind Rangers, although they have a game in hand plus two Old Firm matches in which to cut that deficit – can’t see it, mind. Hibs lie third, just two points behind the Hoops.
