Italian Police Seize Shocking Amount Of Weapons Before Coppa Italia Final Between Roma And Lazio (Photos)

Barring the odd obligatory pre-match scuffle, it would appear that yesterday’s Coppa Italia final between Roma and Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico passed without major bloodshed, largely due to the city wide scouring conducted by the police before the game, which saw a baffling array of crudely-constructed weapons confiscated from the Ultras of both clubs.

Here is but a few of the weapons seized, which mostly consist of nasty pointy things fixed to poles with parcel tape…

Grim.

As for the game itself, Lazio won 1-0 (and therefore won their sixth Coppa Italia title) thanks to a single goal from midfielder Senad Lulic, who later dedicated the opportunistic strike to his pregnant wife…
