Leeds Carnegie’s goalscorers, Katie Holtham and Ellen White, celebrate with the Tesco Premier League Cup trophy after their side’s surprise 3-1 win against Everton in the final; White, an England U-23 striker, scored twice.
It was a sweet victory for Carnegie, who had suffered defeat in three of the last four finals. However, the win could be their last following their decision not to apply to play in the new Super League, which starts next year.
