“What’s got two thumbs, two golden balls, four letters after its name and can’t stop winning sh*t?”

Cristiano Ronaldo now has a few rather more impressive letters after his name than the usual ‘OMFG!’ after being named a ‘Grand Officer of the Order of Prince Henry’ by Portuguese President Anibal Cavaco Silva for his services to the country – namely getting them to the 2014 World Cup.

Ronaldo’s official post-nominal letters are now (Cristiano Ronaldo) GOIH, with the Real Madrid star joining Carlos Lopes, Aurora Cunha and Jose Mourinho as only the fourth sporting personality to receive the esteemed honour – the third-highest rank of the Portuguese ‘knighthood’ system.

Here’s a few pics of Ronaldo’s big day out at Belem Palace, having clambered back into his Ballon d’Or suit for the occasion…

There’s another shiny trinket for his musuem.
