Nottingham-born, Manhattan-based graphic designer James Campbell Taylor is the brains (and dexterous fingers) behind the Pennarello design website, which positively drips with achingly beautiful football nostalgia.

We tell you this because, after realising that the last few official World Cup posters had got a bit, in his own words, “dull and corporate”, the talented Mr Taylor decided to have a go at redesigning all 20.

The results, predictably, are stunning.
