Thanks to last night’s 1-1 draw against the Russians, Algeria made it through to the last 16 of a World Cup for the very first time in their history – and the entire country proceeded to celebrate according.

As well as the jubilation in the Arena da Baixada, delirious pandemonium broke out on the streets of Algiers and in the Algerian quarters of Paris, Lyon and Marseilles with Fennec fans celebrating wildly (some clashing with police, we must add) late into the night – and who could blame them?
