The England squad attended their annual ‘Lions and Roses’ charity dinner over the course of the Bank Holiday weekend – an event that culminated in a special performance by hat-wearing popstrel James Bay.
Indeed, the singer was accompanied on stage by two of football’s noted musical virtuosos, Wayne Rooney on backing vocals and Gary Neville on acoustic guitar, to help him caterwaul through his hit ‘Hold Back The River’ in front of an audience that included none other than Pele himself.
