England have just completed their first official pre-Euro 2016 training session at their team base located within the environs of the rather swanky ‘Auberge du Jeu de Paume’ hotel in Chantilly.

Located slightly north-east of Paris, England’s luxurious digs would usually set you back £500 a night, boasting as it does an in-house day spa and two Michelin-starred restaurant.

However, we can only presume the clincher for the FA when they booked the place was the ‘English Shop’ cafe located just up the street, where Wayne Rooney and co. will be able to quaff home comforts such as Marmite on toast, digestive biscuits, Victoria sponge cake, cooked breakfasts, scones and/or PG Tips. Heaven.

Here’s a raft of photos for your browsing pleasure, beginning with the big arrival…

I laughed a lot more than I should have after “A local Sunday League player is allowed to join in a drill as a little treat…”
