This ranks as the most joyous, uplifting day in the new Wembley Stadium’s short life: Twas a brilliant game, played in a brilliant spirit, in front of two sets of brilliant fans. Brilliant!

The Daggers took the lead three times (Paul Benson, Danny Green, John Nurse) in a gripping encounter – one of the games of the season for me. Rotherham came back twice with a pair of goals by the impressive Ryan Taylor but could not find a third goal to send the match into extra time.

And so the Essex club’s remarkable, Wimbledon-mirroring rise up the divisions continues. Congrats to manager John Still and all at the club. League One awaits. After that, who knows?

Don’t act like you actually watched the game, asshole.

Ah, another obnoxious meathead. Yay! The internet really needs more of your kind. Good for you.

For the record: I watched every minute of the match and stand by every word I wrote. Not that I feel the need to defend myself, but hell, the morons can’t always have the last word.

I think you will find if you check this is Peter Gain. I get them mixed up as well and I go to home matches :-) I think that is the reason for the other comments

  4. Chris says:

Sorry in picture 6 you say it is Paul Benson when it is Peter Gain

Hey Chris – the captions are actually written by Press Association, not Pies. But thanks for the correction anyway. Great game!
