In Pictures: England World Cup Training Session – Wayne Rooney Wears Crucifix!

Watch out for the flattering pic of Stuart Psycho Pearce…

Wayne Rooney wearing a big ole crucifix!? Oh Lordy, this must be some sort of hilarious in-joke between England’s players, rather than a sincere religious statement.

And those pics of Rio Ferdinand sitting on his own are almost unbearably poignant, especially in contrast to the XXL grin on John Terry’s massive face – whatever you think of Mr Merk, imagine how it must feel to be on the brink of leading your country out at the biggest sporting event in history and suddenly have that dream shattered. We feel for you, Rio.

I wish I could put my foot right thru John Terry’s smug face, but I don’t have the $10,000 he probably charges for that sort of thing. Poor Rio!!

You guys are going to need every bit of help you can get. Nice of Roo to consider all options.

  3. Kolo says:

What is it with footballers? First it was Cristiano Ronaldo, now Rooney – it’s definitely not the way you’re supposed to go about rosary, it’s most definitely not some piece of jewelry you put on about your neck?! Ron and Roo, Catholics, should know that.
