Rob Green doesn’t look contrite enough. That seems to be the tabloid view – how dare Rob Green smile the day after that blunder!? The cheek.

Come on, give the guy a break. A break called golf. Why do footballers love golf so much?

   I’m guessing that Rooney is simply so dedicated to the game that he cannot — will not — ever remove his knee socks. He’ll put on the ankle socks over the regulation stuff, but you know someone had his arm broken for removing the shinguards.
