QPR probably should have won this hard-fought London derby, but Palace’s Argentine goalkeeper Julian Speroni – whom Neil Warnock thinks is the best No.1 in the Championship, “by a mile” – had an excellent game.

Goals came from Akos Buszaky (penalty) for Pete Docherty’s favourite team and Darren Ambrose for the Eagles. QPR move up to sixth in the table, along with four other teams on 24 points, while Palace remain 13th, on 19 points.
