As a token of his esteem for their hard work keeping his body in fine fettle, Cristiano Ronaldo apparently repeatedly promised to buy each member of Real Madrid’s physio staff (including his personal five-man whole body-waxing team, as seen above) a car if he won himself a second Ballon d’Or and, given that he managed the impressive feat on Monday, it would appear that it’s now time for him to start flitting through Auto Trader.
This from MARCA:
“A small part of the Ballon d’Or that he was awarded last Monday was also for the physios that work with him, and that is why the player has said on numerous occasions that he would buy them a car if he won the Ballon d’Or or if Real Madrid won their much-awaited “Décima” (tenth Champions League trophy).
“The promise was made during one of the many long sessions that the Portuguese has being treated on the physio table. And Cristiano Ronaldo is a man who doesn’t make promises lightly.”
Now, we can’t help notice that MARCA’s wording is just a little vague there. We’d love to see the look on the physio team’s collective faces when Ronaldo pulls into the car-park driving their new communal car…
