You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry
Real Madrid have suspended one of their supporters (i.e, suspended his club membership) after Gareth Bale’s car was filmed being attacked as the players attempted to slope away into the night following Sunday’s evening’s 2-1 Clasico defeat against Barcelona.
Bale was singled out once again by the Real fans after the forward’s admittedly rather anaemic showing at the Camp Nou.
Footage then circulated of two/three Real supporters taking out their frustrations as various players pulled out of the car park, aiming a punch and a kick at Bale’s white Bentley and hurling abuse through Jese’s driver’s-side window before a few choice words from Sergio Ramos appeared to calm him down somewhat…
“Real Madrid will take any applicable legal action against the individuals responsible,” a club statement said, before adding that they had already identified the individuals responsible for what they branded “aggressive and violent actions against several of our players”.
Good on ’em. Someone needs to keep these self-entitled little brats in check.
There are Twitter rumours that one of the supporters who stayed behind to accost the Real players is actually a known Atletico Madrid fan, though quite what the purpose of going deep undercover to yell obscenities at Gareth Bale for a few seconds was is anybody’s guess.
