There are no gay professional footballers, of course. Not one. That’s a fact.
Still, the very heterosexual Cristiano Ronaldo (see photo) is fully behind Portugal’s decision to allow same-sex couples to get married. Which is nice. The Real Madrid superstar said: “The Portuguese man that I am, I try to keep informed about what is happening in my country.
“I know the law was passed and the comment it deserves is that we must respect the choices made by anyone, because, after all, all citizens should have the exact same rights and responsibilities.”
Sounds suspiciously intelligent to be C-Ron, but we can’t disagree with the sentiment.

The whispers about that photo of Gerard Pique and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a tender embrace continue. Pssss psss psss. Something like that.
Pique claimed last week that the pic was actually taken in March, after both players had left a press conference to promote Pique’s autobiography. Pique also claims that the image was only released at a later date as a bid to fork with Barcelona’s team morale during the final games of the season. That went well.
“We saw it on the television in the dressing room and we were both cracking up in laughter,” the very heterosexual Pique said of the story.
