Quaresma Clatters Ballboy, Scores Two Exquisite Goals vs Maccabi Tel Aviv (Video)

By Chris Wright

Ricardo Quaresma. He’s just one of those players isn’t he? A never-quite-living-up-to-the-hype/ego, cripplingly inconsistent walking, talking Youtube highlights reel of a footballer whose stats will always be slightly too good on FIFA/Pro Evo/Football Manager, etc for some reason.

That said, the part-time Portuguese winger put in a world class shift for Besiktas against Maccabi Tel Aviv last night despite being booed by his own fans from the start, rabona-ing here, stepover-ing there, wiping out a poor defenceless ballboy at one point and then scoring two absolutely beautiful goals in the Turkish side’s 3-2 win…

    He did it big.

  2. Manolo Garnix says:

“booed by his own fans”, well as they played in Israel I’d say it was the home crowd. Still doesn’t matter, he remains a “youtube-player” that is good for 3min videos of highlights, but not for more.

The Mustang’s a complete spoofer, loves a old trivela or two! He loves to dome something beautiful in ever match, it can make all the difference in a champions league tie.

IMO, anyone dubbed “The new Ronaldo” 9/10 times never lives up to the hype.He always had the talent, he just never worked the right way to make use of it.
