Real Madrid beat Levante 4-2 last night to extend their lead at the top of La Liga to a full ten points following Barcelona’s 3-2 defeat to Osasuna the day before.

Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed yet another hat-trick – his 13th since joining Los Blancos and his sixth this season – in the space of 12 minutes, the third of which was notable for two reasons; a) it was an effortlessly peachy screamer, dipping over the Levante keeper from 25 yards, and b) it was the 4,000th league goal scored by Real at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium since it opened in December, 1947…

    93 goals in 85 games….best player in the world in my opinion…better than messi

    Agreed with Joe. Haters gonna hate though.

    CR7 = Legend

    Love the man, many will hate on his arrogance/demeanor but when you rip in strikes like that, you can get away with being smug. His goal output is unheralded and draws no comparisons with anyone else.

    Apparently, Jose Mourinho was not very impressed. Either that or this is a new dance move:

  7. I think he’s better than Messi as Messi has only ever been at Barcelona, the best club in the world, and surrounded with players with exactly the same mentality as his so he is the pinnacle of a well oiled machine. Ronaldo on the other hand has played outstandingly for 2 different teams. True, both Manchester United and Real Madrid are brilliant teams but they don’t play as much as a unit than Barcelona, and hence Ronaldo’s record is more by his own talent than that of the players around him.

    We saw what happened when Messi is deprived of iniesta and xavi vs osasuna on the weekend, meanwhile Ronaldo has consistently played with different strike partners and midfielders for the better part of his Madrid career, both brilliant, but if your “picking sides on the playground” per say, Ronaldo has to be the one you wanna build a team around, just look at how Messi cant adapt to Argentina and the players they have at their disposal, compared to Portugal who dont really have a class midfield, just saying
