Just a lovely goal. Nothing more, nothing less – The Sounders took on Mexican side Jaguares de Chiapas at CenturyLink Field in their final pre-season tune-up game last night, a match which the MLS side won 2-0 courtesy of a brace from striker Fredy Montero; the second of which was a bit of a beaut…

Nice.

classy finish but how bad was the keepers positioning, definitely made it easier for him

if keeper’s always had perfect positioning we would rarely see chipped goals, they almost always come out of situations like this unless its just a one of a kind finish

As a Yank/Anti-MLS guy, Fredy Montero is the REAL DEAL, I believe he had a couple trials with a few EPL squads lined up, not sure if they ever came to fruition. But this kid can PLAY!

“As a yank/Anti MLS guy”…I find this confusing..there are plenty of Americans who are simply anti-football/soccer but why would you be against your own league?

Admittedly not the best, but its slowly improving — people forget its younger than the premiere league era.

Also disagree with you about Freddy Montero — he comes up with a bit of flash now and then…but “the real deal” I think not and I am a Sounders season ticket holder.

the keeper was making insane runs upfield and setting up like this all game it was bound to happen. too bad the camera angle doesn’t do it justice, it looked better from the brougham end
