Mesut Ozil’s Exquisite Assist For Karim Benzema’s Second Goal vs APOEL (Video)
By Chris Wright
What a beauty…
As the prophecy foretold, Real Madrid yomped to a 3-0 first-leg victory over APOEL in Cyprus last night; Benzema grabbing a brace (after spluffing one clean over the bar from roughly 30cm out) and the excellent Kaka posting home t’other.

I still say Bebe is better
Not bad & the worst of it is that the Bundesliga is stuffed with lads who can do that & plenty more besides.
nice but this only happened because of a weak right foot. i know there’s genetics involved etc but it amazes me how many ‘world class’ players can’t use both feet, some players look totally lost when they are faced with having to pass or kick the ball with their weaker foot.
nice wee pass but this only happened because he can’t use his right foot, and OK if you are capable of doing that with your strong foot go for it, looks good. but in general it amazes me how many ‘world class’ players can’t use both feet (i know there must be genetics involved or something). some players look totally lost when they are faced with having to pass or kick the ball with their weaker foot and it negatively effects so many teams play/balance if you cant do it.
I’m pretty sure he could have easily squared with his right(which is quite decent, I’ve seen him play a lot). He used the left one for the purposes of deception and the fact that he would have a lot of confidence in it being phenomenal.
its mesut ozil, not ricardo quaresma. pretty sure ozil knows how to use his right, just sayin
@ Confuscious,
You’re right. That’s what I thought also. He tricked the defender into thinking he was going to do a cut-back and possibly curl a shot to the back post. He paused a bit but instead squared it across the face of goal with the outside of his boot.
What frank said
Can we get a shit lookalike for Ozil and Avatar? Big googly eyes that Ozil… haha!
