AaB’s Nicklas Helenius Scores With Beautiful Bergkamp-esque Twist vs SønderjyskE (Video)

By Chris Wright

Here’s AaB striker Nicklas Helenius popping off a beauty against SønderjyskE in the Danish Superliga over the weekend, courtesy of a wonderful pirouette past his marker on the edge of the box…

Definite shades of the Ice Man reducing Nikos Dabizas to a puddle of bubbling Greek ooze back in 2002…

Who did it better? ‘Twas the Ice Man for us. To flick it around the outside of the defender just takes that smidge more refined technique.

Not even a smidge near Bergkamp’s.

  2. John E Blaze says:

Dennis Bergkamp was unplayable in his day. What a touch that was!!!

  3. Connor says:

makes me sad to think that there are plenty of players these days who would go down under that challenge after beating the defender to try and get the last man sent off…

  4. Per says:

Bergkamps is better. Not even close, really.
