In which Metalist’s Brazilian winger Taison (who is named after Mike Tyson) scores an absolutely epic volley from an acute angle, back across the goal and into the far corner with definite shades of Marco van Basten’s famous first-time pearler against the USSR at Euro ’88…

Compare and contrast…

Not quite as acute as Van Basten’s effort, but definitely worthy of a polite golf clap.

What on earth does Billie Piper have to do with that video?

Brazilians do seem to have the naffest goal celebrations don’t they? What on Earth’s he doing with the whole hands on head/palms outward thing? At least it’s better than the goal celebrations for the Brazilian National Team which always seem to be an excuse for a big fat Jesus-fest…
