Seattle Sounders’ mini-mulleted centre-half Patrick Ianni has been awarded the MLS Goal of the Season 2012 award for his spectacular scissor volley against Sporting KC and it’s fairly easy to see why…

   What a lovely goal. Well done, Patrick! Nice hair, too. He nearly took Fredy Montero’s head off as well. I only wish it had been at the Brougham End, where I sit, about 200 yards away, where strikes like this are a bit hard to follow!
