This game may have happened on Tuesday night but I thought it still worth popping up for your perusal.
Edinson Cavani, he of the long flowing locks and powerhouse goal-scoring, is one of the most wanted players in Europe right now, with Premier League big guns Chelsea and Man City after the 24-year-old’s signature, although Real Madrid now look to be in pole position to purchase the player. Against Venezuela on Tuesday evening, the Napoli striker netted the only goal of the World Cup qualifier, courtesy of a superb solo effort.
Uruguay, despite bosting a rather decent squad, are struggling to get their qualifying campaign off the ground, but whether or not Cavani graces Brazil in the summer of 2014, he’s sure to be wearing the shirt of one of the Euro-big-boys come the start of the 13/14 season.
