Football GIF: Eliseu’s Super Swerver Goal Against Osasuna Defies Laws Of Physics

By Chris Wright

Have a good, close shufty at this ‘ere goal, scored by Malaga’s Portuguese midfielder Eliseu against Osasuna last night – a strike which would appear to defy all known laws of physics and motion…

It may be our Lay eyes playing tricks on us, but Eliseu appears to strike the ball with the outside of the boot and still get the shot to curl ‘inwards’ like he wrapped his instep around the damn thing – utterly boggling Osasuna ‘keeper Asier Riesgo as it bends the ‘wrong’ way.

There’s only one logical explanation: he’s a member of the X-Men.

I’d say power is key. The slower you hit em, the more they bend and deceive keepers. Back in the early 90s there were more skilled players at bending balls.
