Having been crocked for over a month, Edinson Cavani scored on his PSG return as the Ligue 1 leaders eased to a 2-0 victory over Marseille on Saturday evening, though it could have been more emphatic, with Lucas Moura coming within the width of a gnat’s nadger to scoring one of the all-time great solo goals.

Setting out deep in his own half, Moura dashed past several Marseille defenders in lightning succession as he motored up-field, making it to the edge of the L’OM box in a matter of seconds and dinking a cute shot over ‘keeper Steve Mandanda – only for the legendary Rod Fanni to scupper his efforts with an excellent last ditch, goal-saving interference on the line…

    Why is Rod Fanni legendary? He’s not seen as much in France!

    (“L'” is not part of the name of the club: OM. “L'” = “The” for The Olympic of Marseille (L’Olympique de Marseille = L’OM).
