Gareth Bale Settles Copa Del Rey Final In 85th Minute With Magnificent Solo Charge (GIF & Video)

By Chris Wright

Spain Soccer Copa del Rey

At no point did it ever look truly under control, but Gareth Bale settled the Copa Del Rey Final in Real Madrid’s favour last night by yomping past Marc Bartra on the outside from inside his own half, eventually making his way into the Barcelona area and poking a magnificent solo finish past Jose Pinto…

Spectacular, if in a physical sense rather that a technical one – i.e, that Bale was still capable of that kind of full-tilt, 70-yard sprint in the 85th minute of a game. The guy’s a specimen.

Anyway, the Copa marks Bale’s first silverware as a Real player with plenty more to come, you’d suspect.

As for Barca, the defeat marks the first time they’ve lost three¬†consecutive matches since January of 2003. Not good.

That sprint is utterly impressive in any case

specimen is definitely the right word, unbelievable to do that at any time but at that stage in a cup final, phenomenal.
Obviously best mates with Benzema as well the way he didn’t completely ignore him or leave him hanging
