Gifted Bosnian midfielder Miralen Pjanic netted one of the goals of the season on Friday night at the Stadio Olimpico. With the scores at 0-0 and the home side struggling to create any decent chances, the diminutive schemer picked up the ball outside the box before embarking on a superb jinking dribbling run which culminated in the 24-year-old slotting the ball past Christian Abbiati in the Milan goal.
Yes, both Riccardo Montolivio and Adil Rami should have done better in halting the Bosnian’s run while Abbiati arguably could have stopped the shot itself. However, it’s still a damn fine solo goal for the Giallorossi star.
